Events. Nicolay, J*Davey & Steve Spacek
CMJ Event | J*Davey & Others: Sometimes living in New York has its perks. This is especially true if you're immersed in the alternate reality some call Scion-Hop. Yesterday they sponsored a nifty rooftop party downtown. Free beer, bbq, and funk. I was glad to see a performance by J*Davey. I'm pretty sure this was one of their first performances in NYC. They have this fresh, playful yet smart sound. That's the best way to describe it.
Hearing Steve Spacek's performance was also a great moment, it was as if My Top Rated playlist came to life. Okay, I apologize for that, a little iWorld humor. Anyway, Nicolay closed the show out accompained by singer Yah Zarah. He played the beats out of his laptop and layered them with his keyboard – very kewl. So that was my afternoon. Not like you care. It looks like there is no one there. Was it a bust? Scion throws so much money at making them look good, people out in LA are getting sick of everything. Scion = played out. Has it reached NY yet?

It was a pretty chill event. It started at 2pm and it didn't get packed until 6pm.
