Meczilla. Dork of the Week
Meczilla. Dork of the Week: Meczilla is a multi-tasker, working in graphic arts and music. She fronts an electro-punk band, The Slack Republic and has worked as creative director on a number of design projects. You have to check out the web design she did for J*Davey. Fiyah! Also, her rendition of Sweet Dreams is not to be fooled with.

DM: What's your passion?
Creating.
DM: What keeps you motivated to create?
Boys and candy. : ) But seriously? I find that envisioning the end result of your work is the kind of thing that can keeps me awake for 38 hours straight. Knowing that when I'm done and I've made that last mouse click, or that last pen or brush stroke, that it will all be worth it. That's what motivates me.
DM: Who are some of your inspirations?
Children, Ms. Wilona Woods (Good Times), Samo, Billie Holiday, Gordon Parks, Ms. L Boogie, Angelbert Metoyer, Michael Ray Charles, and people like you.
DM: Favorite Song?
Wow! You mean ever? No way I'm going to answer that! That is so not a fair question. I'll tell you what though... aside from all the shit I'm recording with my band, I'm really into XTC- "Senses Working Overtime" at the moment.
DM: Favorite Movie?
Um... The Warriors
DM: One thing that you can't live without?
Breathing, water, eating, and pooping aside? Um... my mac.
