Music. Sadat X | What did I do?: When I was a lil' man, I had an imaginary girlfriend. Hey, we aren't called Dork for irony's sake. Anyway, when the imaginary girlfriend and I had an argument, I'd be like, "baby, you gotta love me or leave me alone." She'd say, "sh*t James, you know I love ya." Yes Brand Nubian gave a lil' dun like me, a nugget of wisdom. When real girls finally started to appreciate my weirdness and were willing to be in relationships with me, I tried to use Brand Nu's advice. Unfortunately, they usually just left me alone.
Now Sadat X is back on the solo tip and he has some advice for his fans. Next time your girlfriend complains or gets upset for reasons you don't completely understand, just say, "what did I do?" Trust me, it will work way better than Shaggy's "it wasn't me." Sadat X is having an album release party tonight at Opus 22 (559 W. 22, NYC), no cover and open vodka. It is going to be a swanky affair, but don't stay out too late, or you'll be singing this song to your girl. [Download]
