Music. Understanding the Roots Vol. I & II

Music. Understanding the Roots Vol. I & II: I'm a fan of Philadelphia. I'm a fan of the Sixers. I'm a fan of the Eagles. And, most notably, I'm a fan of the Roots. Although there doesn't seem to be much excitement brewing around this double release, I'm sure people will be pleasantly surprised by the bonus material. Besides the cover art is some of the cleanest design I've seen.
Volumes I and II will be in stores November 15. They'll include rare and unreleased tracks, remixes and other funky material. I once heard that the group records something like 400 songs for an album. I don't know if this is the norm for most groups, but I want to hear what didn't make it. At least OSN* hips us every once in a while. Below, you'll find posted pics of the album covers and some audio from the releases.

400 songs for an album cannot possibly be the norm for most artists. Shit, you think someone like Jeezy can even write 400 songs?
