Habitat. Time Capsule found in BK Bridge: Growing up we never had the patience for time capsules. We couldn't do it. While our neighbor was throwing their favorite MJ glove, a Thriller jacket and a matchbox Pontiac Fiero into a capsule, we were plotting to dig it up as soon as they left the scene.
Last week a routine inspection revealed a Cold War capsule located in a vault underneath the Brooklyn Bridge. As National Geographic News reports, "The New York City bunker was stockpiled with decades-old provisions that were meant to be used after a nuclear attack." Everything from water containers, medical supplies and hundreds of thousands of calorie-packed crackers were found - pretty cool. Perhaps the Dork offices will start their own time capsule. Now who's parting with their ipod?
