Event. RE:UP Manual 11: RE:UP is a must read around the office. I don't know another indie mag doing a better job covering emerging artists. They aren't limited by genre either. You can find interesting reads on artists as diverse as Boards of Canada and The Platinum Pied Pipers. It's obvious the RE:UP gang's chief interest is in music that excites them. We dig that.
Their latest "manual" profiles Ann Arbor record label Ghostly International. There's also original artwork by Mike Giant and Dust la Rock, and a special photo editorial by Eric Coleman of Mochilla/Brasilintime. If you're in NYC tonight swing by APT for their Manual 11 NYC Chapter Release Party. They have djs Duane (negroclash) & Scott Mou (other music), open bar, and I'm sure they'll have some free copies of the mag.
