Events. PT3, Good People & Passion: Ping-Pong is intense! Don't let anyone tell you differently. Last weekend we played in Puma's Table Tennis Tourney. The event was so fresh. It had all the necessary elements for an enjoyable time - it was well organized, had good people and tons of passion for the game was present. Although the majority of folks participating had some connection to the field of art or expression, you could have never imagined how many styles were present in the game of pong. As Dan from APT put it, "Watch this cat - he's got the wild style!" Exactly. The styles and approaches to the game were beautiful to watch.
I was eliminated early by Ari from Comedy Central, whose defensive wall-like-tactics mentally broke me down. The guy could return anything. I guess the best offense is a good defense - ha! Anyway, much respect to Puma, Rude and Staple for putting together the tournament. It was one of the best events we've attended in recent memory. Also, congrats to Miles from Psyop who won the whole sha-bang! (Note: We have some pics below from Saturday's jam. We'll update with more when they hit the press.)
