Media. Web 2.0

Media. Web 2.0: When the dot com boom deflated - we were saddened. But now, we're feeling vindicated by the second coming of the internet. Innovations built on existing innovations are always fascinating. It's kind of like watching the person who invented the chair and then the next guy who invented the arms for the chair, and then the next guy who added wheels to the chair. The internet is beginning to have that echoing effect. First it was about networking a few computers and now people are creating cool ways to do something with them. It's not just MySpace or Flickr. The genre is continually expanding and venture capitalists are interested.
Webwatch has an article on Web 2.0. It's a simple explanation of the techno slang. They have it broken down into basic questions like, "So what is it? Well, in the simplest terms [Web 2.0] is the phrase being applied to 'the second coming' of the internet. Dot-com investors are partying like it's 1999 and a number of pioneering online services are very much keeping that party exciting, getting everybody talking about the internet once more and its increasing relevance to our lives."
