Art & Design. Sean McCabe

Art & Design. Sean McCabe: Newstoday is a great source for art and design information. Recently we came across the work of Sean McCabe. We can't say enough about this guy. Check out his work.

Here are a few words from an interview at Trainspotter*: "I work for myself, out of my apartment - designing everything from album covers for bands to web sites, editorial illustration, and photography. I do all my own photography. As a matter of fact, almost every album cover I have ever done has been shot in my apartment with the very barest of means. I am decidedly anti-digital when it comes to cameras - I like to shoot with old film cameras - the results look and feel very different from digital photos and have a sense of history to them. The selection of a particular speed and type of film, not to mention camera can say a lot about a particular shot and express so much. If I have a style, I would imagine it is in designing very concept driven, photography-based designs for album covers, much more in the tradition of classic album covers from the 60’s and 70’s."
