Media. YouTube fighting the Inevitable

Media. YouTube fighting the Inevitable: It's ironic that someone would create a bootleg napster sign. I guess they were "sharing" the logo. Either way, we couldn't resist matching the above pic with this recent story posted by c|net.
We all enjoy YouTube and it's copywritten material. How many times has someone said, "Did you see Bloc Party's performance on Leno?" You missed it, and in response you immediately surf to YouTube in hopes that it's there. We do the same thing. That's where the site's value is! Sure people say it's for home movies, etc. But, we know that's not the case and so do the analyst. As reported by c|net, "Copyright issues that have plagued video-sharing site YouTube since its official launch almost a year ago will mean that "YouTube will get sued. And it will lose," wrote Josh Bernoff and Ted Schadler, analysts for Forrester Research, on a blog posted last week. Lawsuits will trigger a chain reaction, according to the analysts, in which YouTube will be forced to remove all copyrighted material--and that means excising most of the professionally made content. What's left will leave YouTube with videos that are "a lot less interesting," said the Forrester analysts."
