Film. Art School Confidential

Film. Art School Confidential: "Now I don't have any particular wisdom to impart to you people, except to say this, these four words - don't have unrealistic expectations. If you want to make money, you might as well drop out right now, go to banking school, or website school - anywhere but art school. And remember, only 1 out of 100 of you will ever make a living as an artist." - Professor Sandiford (Art School Confidential).
In spite of these odds, Jerome Platz naively asserts, "I want to be the next Picasso." The funny thing is, his work resembles Picasso's in no discernable way. I guess he simply meant he wants to be rich, famous and desirable like Picasso. In the end, Art School Confidential is simply about the art of being famous. It argues that the true art isn't the actual work the artist produces but the context the artist creates which makes his or her art interesting.
