Musings. Slum Village Fantastic Vol. 1

Musings. Slum Village Fantastic Vol. 1: We miss Dilla. There are some great pieces penned regarding his legacy, imprint and audible impact. Recently, we enjoyed the articles written by Egon and Count Bass D in Fader and Synthesis Magazines respectively. Thank you for those contributions. They were really fantastic. However, the latest piece we read really hit home. It's not just about Dilla, but rather the group Slum Village. We love stories like this.

Check out a snippet: "Producer 88 Keys was the first to sing Slum's praises to me. As a producer for Mos Def, Black Star and later Beanie Siegel, 88 was aware of Jay Dee's influence on a post-fire Q Tip. But that was only the tip of the iceberg. The real gem, as 88 told it, was Slum Village."
