People. Myrna "Screechy Peach" Crenshaw

People. Myrna "Screechy Peach" Crenshaw: A true Georgia peach. The Atlanta music scene suffered a big loss earlier last week when Myrna "Screechy Peach" Crenshaw of the ATL based funk/rock band Whild Peach lost her battle with breast cancer. Whild Peach were well known in the area for their wild shows and Peach's unmistakable voice.
Peach frequently collaborated with Joi, Outkast, and other members of the Dungeon Family, singing background vocals and co-writing songs (Outkast's "Church", "You May Die", and many more.) She shared stages with everyone from Erykah Badu to Fishbone to Chingy and along with her band often toured as Outkast's backing band. In 2006 she was given the chance to shine on Outkast's Idlewild album with the song "Mutron Angel."
