People News. Adopt an Olive Tree: How cool would it be to own your own olive tree? Sure, you may never own a private jet, but owning an olive tree - that's still kind of impressive. Plus, olive oil is delicious and it's good for you.
It's the idea of the Italian company Nudo, which shows you a map of the olive groves and encourages you to select a tree in one of them. For $125 a year, you'll get olive oil sent to you in the spring that will contain your tree's harvest plus the oil from about 50 of its neighbors. The fall package also contains three scented olive oil soaps. The best part might be that once you've adopted a tree, you're always welcome to visit it.
