Audio. Stones Throw Podcast #21

Audio. Stones Throw Podcast: A friend once said it's all about baby steps. They weren't lying. Slow progression is a good thing, but balancing that against ambition is tricky. So when we were discussing music labels and who's been consistent over the years, only a few came to mind. One of them being Stones Throw Records. They've effectively built a brand with thoughtful slow progression. Their careful navigation places them beyond assimilation and compromise.

One of our favorite contributions from Stones Throw is their podcast. Most recently they released Madlib Remixes 1997 - 2007 mixed by JRocc. As they describe it: "In time for Madlib's upcoming Jaylib Remixes disc on the new Champion Sound CD, JRocc goes through the Invazion archives for 10 years of remixes. Some of these are unreleased, some are rarely heard, others are just plain dope."
