People News. Writers Set to Strike: Things are getting hot in Hollywood. A potent strike may be upon us when you consider the turbulent introduction of advancing technology (dvds, hddvds, iTunes, filesharing, etc.) and the increasing demands on writers. We hope resolution comes soon.
Per the NY Times: "Hollywood’s two decades of labor peace shattered Thursday night, as movie and television writers declared they would embark on an industrywide strike for the first time since 1988, when both writers and Teamsters walked out."
