Sure Ropeadope puts out good music and the artist tour but what have you done for me lately? Well I’m glad you asked. This is where the positive philosophy about life and a mix of education comes in. Ropeadope has come up with the constructive “New Music Seminar” which brings Ropeadope and other forward thinking artists to venues and classroom around the country. Spreading the word of musicianship and holding sessions with future musicians, music students.

Last but not least I can hear Words saying “Stand Strong brotha!” A motto that has so many interpretations, all of which could be powerful. This is the message he stands behind when crafting the ever so popular, Ropeadope clothing line. Whatever it is he’s got you covered: jackets, sweatshirts, hats, and the fashionable respect and worldwide t-shirt series. The clothing matches the message of strength and positively as some of the faces and images that have appeared on the respect series include Pele, Nina Simone, Fela, Gandhi and the historic Black Power 1968 Mexico City Olympic photograph. The clothing line has done so well that Ropeadope was commissioned to design the new clothing line for Blue Note Records, which has done very well. In addition to the Blue Note line, they were just hired by VERVE records to design a line for them and help them relaunch the IMPULSE label in early 2006 (including a Coltrane line); also hired by GIANT STEP and ULTRA RECORDS to do new liens for them. PLUS the freshest new Ropeadope fall line is in the works.

These guys are staying busy and doing it their way. Not holding back and giving all they got. You gotta respect that. Stay Strong Brothers!
