We went on the tangent of all tangents as we began to speak about the impact of Hurricane Katrina. It's difficult not to talk about Katrina, no matter who you're talking to. He feels that people shouldn't turn this into a race issue. However, he is obviously disturbed by the impact the hurricane has had on black people, “it hit close to home... I don't understand sh*t like that, it's bad for everyone.” He goes on, “people shouldn't take things for granted, like [having] hot and cold water... People can't do what they want right now, they have to depend on the government.” He feels that, “whoever is in a position to help, should - rich black people should give!”

After conversing on various topics, many of which proved conflicting, we paused for a moment. You can't fight what you experience, but you can work to improve what's around you - so long as you have the right mind set. Just be aware, and as Santana stated, "get used to the future."

The future definitely includes Sanatana's influence. My final question was, "What has the game been missing?"

He answers confidently, “me”. It's all about, the A!

[Be sure to pick up Juelz Santana's latest album What the Games Been Missing on Tuesday November 22]
